Polymarket US fees explained

Polymarket US, the CFTC-regulated US exchange, charges takers a fee based on price and size. Makers pay nothing, and high-volume makers earn rebates. Here is the formula, a fee table and what it means when you trade both sides.

The formula

Fee = 0.0695 × contracts × p × (1 − p), rounded to the cent (half to even).

p is the price in dollars. Table tennis markets use 0.10 instead of 0.0695. Makers (orders that rest on the book) pay no fee. This schedule took effect October 19, 2026.

Taker fees per order at the standard 0.0695, computed with the formula above.

Maker rebates and taker rebates

Makers earn a rebate once their previous month’s maker volume passes $10 million, rising with volume. Takers get a weekly rebate of 3% to 30% of fees once weekly volume passes $250,000. Most individual traders are in the first tier of both, with no rebate.

What it means for arbitrage

At 50¢ the fee is about 1.74¢ a contract, almost the same as Kalshi’s 1.75¢. A two-sided trade between Kalshi and Polymarket US pays both fees, so a 2¢ gap at mid prices usually disappears after fees. Gaps near the edges (10¢ or 90¢) carry much smaller fees. Try it in the fee calculator or the arbitrage calculator.

Fees decide whether a price gap pays. ArbTrader scans Kalshi, Polymarket US, Gemini and Polymarket for spreads that still pay after every venue’s fee, at the size actually for sale, and pings you when one opens.
